Question '92 King Quad carb adjustment

First time user so be patient, I have a stock 1992 Suzuki lt-f4wdx king quad 280cc and have just done a complete carb cleanup. The adjuster (part#13267-19B70) was rusted and went into 2 pieces, so when the new one comes in how many turns out do you start with? The manual calls for engine idle speed at 1400-1600 rpm's. Also how many turns out from the seated position is the pilot screw (1,1/2) (part#13279-47070) supposed to be? I tried to count the turns when unscrewing it but could not tell when it was out. Fixing it up for my grandson to ride. Thanks right off to anybody's help out there.

Seat the pilot screw lightly, then turn it out 1.5 turns. The other screw... Start with it a little more than touching the slide and turn it and as you try to start the engine. There is no set amount, you just have to fool around until you get it to fire. Once its running, then you set the speed and set the pilot screw.
