Starting problems!!!
#1
Hello everyone. I am a new member. I have a 2006 king quad 700. I have had battery problems since the day i bought my atv from the dealership. I currently have the 4th battery on it and it has went bad. The dealership aleady replaced the ECU b/c they said the one that came on it pulled to many amps. After my last battery went bad they said they went over the entire electrical system and that it was fine and they put a new battery on it and i even bought a battery tender. After 3 months that battery has went bad too. Can anyone help me? I still have the extended warranty but i am afraid the dealership is gonna tell me that the battery just went bad again and i am tired of hearing that. I know it is something else causing this.

Hi is the bike new or used? Any clauses in a sale contract? Because you have kept in touch with the dealer from the day the bike battery was giving trouble as they say, they should be standing by their product sold as the issue has not been resolved. Now that the warranty is past should not come into the conversation as mentioned the 1st issue - still has not been sorted. Basically telling you to keep coming back until the warranty is over & still not fixing the problem. Personally I would ask for the manager, point out that nothing was repaired to cure the problem from the start & that over the time of the problems the warranty as elapsed yet still nothing fixed. You purchased the bike in good faith, (paid in full & ended up with nothing but a bike you can not rely on or perhaps use (a lemon). Customer service appears to be missing as well as standing by their sale. If you have a free legal service available where you are I would contact them (point this out when you see the manager if he or she will not help fix the bike matter). If you go to the legal services take all info on what, when & why, actions taken to sort issue then remember that the problem still has not be fixed & now the warranty is over. You have done your side now let them face their side. Best of luck.
You could receive great assistance from here in what to check, repair etc, if it is a simple fix brilliant if it is going to cost you - that is where the bike shop failed. You could point out an option to check to them & they should do the research for free.

Welcome to the Forum!
I am sorry to say that this battery failure is a recuring problem with the KQ 700.
Have a look at this thread;
http://forums.atvconnection.com/suzu...ry-issues.html
From what I have read, there has been a problem with this model for some time and it has not been fixed.
Suzuki makes a lot of fine machines -as to why they have a problem with the KQ 700 - I don't know. BUT you need to chase these guys and don't back down, you have spent a lot of money and they have not kept up their part of the contract.
After all is said and done - get in contact with your dealer, keep all of your receipts and don't let them off the hook!
Good Luck!
