Default Tuff time getting Quad runner started and running

Ive got a 2000 or 2001 suzuki quad master 500 4x4. i can get it to start on full choke and I have to keep the rpms way up and I have to have my finger on the start button or it will die. Im thinking it may be the valves but im not sure and I wanted to get the imput of the guys here on the forum. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Jesse

Oh btw, if anyone knows the valve clearance or the procedure for setting the correct timing I could use that too. Im sure this process is the same for the quadrunner 500. I think.

I would clean the carburetor, air box, air filter, and adjust the valves.
