Default 2001 King Quad 300 question involving 4wd

I was recently checking out the function of my 4wd on the above ATV.

When in 4wd it seems only the right wheel is getting power......the left one is spinning but if you reach out and grab it there is no resistance to speak of....it just stops spinning. You cannot stop the right wheel from spinning at all....it will just jerk out of your hand. Are both wheels supposed to be getting power?

Putting the ATV in diff lock results in both wheels turning and both wheels with enough power I can not stop them from moving......which I believe is correct operation.

Thanks.

Aaron

Forget it.....the theory of limited slip apparently didnt sink into by brain.

If I hold the right wheel the left gets power......if I hold the left the right gets power. I figured it out.....Im tarded.

Ive only had mine for a month tops.....but Im starting to like it.

To start with I was kinda disappointed with it......it honestly wont go many more places my old 2wd Honda will go. The difference is with the Honda you need momentum and speed......where as on the King Quad in 4wd you can just ride right on thru.

I still get stuck more than I like.....but then again Im not the "hammer on it" kinda person so I probably could work it out of alot of stuck situations if I wanted to abuse it a little.
