Don't blame suzuki for your money problems. Get the cash and they will have no problem selling you a quad. Go buy a 400ex and get smoked by Z's all day long if you dont want the suzuki now.

I do advise....If you get a z400, keep it stock for the first year. That bike is going to pull 10x more then your 250ex ever could. Its going to be like night and day for you, then after about a year of riding it stock the thrill will start to wear off a bit. Then get the intake and exhuast, get the better EFI maps for it to compensate for the exhaust and intake and you will feel more power. Doing the upgrades when you first get it in my opinion is stupid.....you wont notice the power gains from stock......

I agree, times are tuff right now. When i bought mine i could'nt get approved either. So i ended up writeing out the check and paying it all at once. Its not suzukis fault at all. I don't see why you hate suzuki now because of just that. Its all up to you but i still recomend the 09 z400, comming from someone that has one.

i don;t hate suzuki i guess I just hate the fact that every time I have looked at a new quad in the last 6 months and my local dealer tries to get it approve to find out what the payment would be to see if i could afford it always comes back with a really high payment that nobody could afford. and then when i find a quad that I like and can afford the payment then it won't go through. and that's what pissed me off yesterday. so i think that my local dealer screwed me up by telling me that they needed me to apply for the credit before they can tell me how much the payment will be. so i don't know i guess i never should have bought a quad in the first place cause then I would have never wanted a bigger one at all and it wouldn't be like this right now.

We dont get super cold here but I do ride in the snow and I dont recall any hard start or chugging along. Any body out there with non fuel injected z 400 ride snow and do you think fuel injection makes a difference? I would guess a drastic change in elevation would. Also as your decision to buy a 250 ex not as bad as my decision to buy a Baja Wilderness (china) 250.

Both of these reasons are why I have EFI on both my quads, that and they also do better on fuel MPG that a comparable model without EFI! Wont EVER buy another quad without it!
