Default 1985 Suzuki LT230GEF

what kind of fluid goes in the rear diff on this machine the stuff that came out was hard to identify . it didnt look like standard gear oil

its just axle grease isn't it? someone verify please

I think its some form of oil because there is a drain plug on the bottom of the diff , and then there is a fill hole on top just like a car would have .

is it shaft driven or chain... i'm not to familiar with the GEF's

shaft drive into the rear diff . this would be great info since i have a 250 4wd and a 300 4wd both use front diffs and im sure the fluid has never been changed. Chrysler jeeps and trucks recommend fluid changes every 15k. so i would think suzuki would want it done much sooner due to the harsh treatment a quad gets
