eiger stalls in water
#11
The hose that comes off the top of the carb needs to be wormed upward and then hooked into that little hole at the base of the fuel tank cover, but under the seat. Right next to the little black air snorkle that comes out of the air box. Mine was dangling down and if I went into deep water for any period of time it would stall out. You may want to check that, cause I had the exact same problem you had. Easy fix.

Excellent. That should fix it. Make sure that line doesn't get kinked as that will make it stall out, too. My brother-in-law's Eiger had that problem and it took me cleaning the carb three times before I figured it out.

Had to sign up to thank you for the help. I've got an 03&04 eiger 400. Went riding with friends and the 03 stalled out in shallow water. Went to the extreme and flooded the engine with a large hose trying to get it to stall. After reading your post I had it fixed in 15 minutes. The hose on the Carb was routed out the bottom of the fourwheeler causing it to get blocked off in shallow water. Now it is routed up under the seat. Thanks again.
