After a few weeks waiting for the sandblaster to do the frame, it's now going back together. Motor is now in and the tricky part starts with cables, electrics etc

 

All together and started straight away-bloody suprise that!! Alot quieter than it was-guess valves had slightly more gap than should have.
Took out and no leaks.
The only thing that needed re-setting, during the rebuild, Was the carby. The level was 2mm too high.
Now to see if it will do another 16000miles There's no reason as to why it shouldn't though I suspect it will require a cam chain during this time.
So to summarise, these are very well built bikes, and if given regular services, why bother to change. In the time I have had it, the cost has been stuff all.
The total cost I spent, this round, was $300 in replacement bits, paint etc. Cheap for the use I reckon. What do you all think?

i had a little 1986 lt125 zuk that had roughly 22,000 miles on it before i sold it. i was the 3rd owner and i know the second owner didnt take it easy on it. that thing was submerged so many times in water, it should've been named a submarine. fars as i know its still running around some where. it still had the factory original piston and rings in it too.
