I bought this quad for my daughter new in 06 and ran awesome til the end of last season. Rode it one day then the next it was running funny. When you start it it runs and starts easy. It seams like there is a rev limiter when u give it ANY gas. I have cleaned the carb 6 times and put it in the acid bath 3 times. Carb is fine fuel tank is clean and petcock is clear. Anyone know why the rev limiter would be kicking on when its not even revving? I have done everything common to do to a quad to fix it with no success. this quad has about 300 hrs on it. Changed plug and oil cleaned carb! starts easy and will idol all day. Please help!

 

I fixed it! it was the brake button switch. so weird!
