Default Brake Time - LTZ440

I am close to the point where I need to install new brake pads. I have a 2006 LTZ440 (Big Bore Kit) and was wondering what everyone uses.
The two main types I see are Semi-metallic and a Kevlar. Which one should I go with or is there a difference? I mainly do trail riding, but ocassionally get on roads doing top speed.

Thanks.

I use the EBC Severe Duties, I believe they are sintered metal. They bite fine and wear great, even more noticeable if you ever ride in mud.
