Ok heres the story, I was out jumping with my buddies and I got tired so I pulled up next to my group of people and instead of shutting it off I just stoped And staled it ( I dont normaly do this) After taking a little break I went to start it and it wouldnt start! its not getting any spark, I dont get what could go wrong from the quad just sitting there. Any help would be great!
THANKS,
JEFF

sounds like you might have sheared the keyway on the end of the crank that hold the magneto in place. Pull off the side cover and pull the mag and see what you can see there. From the noise description, it sounds like your timing is way out of whack

the key is a hardened piece of steel that looks somewhat like a half moon. It fits in a slot on the end of the crank, an dsticks out a little so whn the magneto goes on (also slotted) it holds it in place so the timing will not change. They have been known to break on the LTs, and if they do, your magneto could move and throw the timing off far enough to keep it from starting. If it shattered, pieces could have been drawn to the magnet and shorted it against the pickup. This would cause it to not spark. If in your kicking to check it, the pieces dislodged from the magnet, that would explain why you got your spark back. But it would still be way out of timing and can cause serious damage by trying to fire the engine at the wrong part of the stroke. Most of the time though it will just pop and backfire, maybe even kick back on you a little bit depending on when it fires

Before you tear apart the magneto and what not. Check out the connections on your Coil, and CDI, mine vibrated loose somehow last year. It would just sputter.. tighten up the screws (they are phillips i beleive)

Hope this helps
