As far as an after market pipe for your KQ you are limited to either Cobra or Supertrapp IDS2.I hear alot of bad stuff about the Cobra. The main thing i hear about them is that thier louder than hell.I put a Supertrapp on my 97 KQ and i do notice a power difference.I did not rejrt the carb or put a K&N filter on it.I am running 7 discs in it.Rocky mountain ATV is your best place to get it.I got mine from Dennis Kirk for $205.00 with shipping.....BOB

Jester, I think you and I discussed this before, did we not? Anyway, SuperTrapp, has a very good muffler for you. I also have seven disk in mine (S/T Muffler). I started out with nine, went down to four by trial and era and worked back to seven because the plug seems to burn better at seven or eight disk. Not too noisy at that setting either. I also have a Dynojet Kit, in the carb which I didn't install until I was happy with the muffler setting. Someone here has convinced me to install a biscuit fan for cooling the engine. But I'm wondering, I'd like to wire the fan for automatic on/off operation. Haven't figured it out yet. Anybody got suggestions, I'm listening.
