Default Help with a 08 King Quad stalling

My question is: My 08 King Quad keeps stalling on me. When it stalls I can wait a few minutes and it will start up and ride for a 1/4 mile then stalls again. Wait a few minuets and it will run a 1/4 mile then stall. I took off the air cleaner and it didn't make any difference. if I let it sit for a few hours it will run great. It has 1100 miles on it. This weekend we went for a 50 mile ride and it ran great untill the last few miles. Then it started to stall again. It's driving me crazy. For the record I know nothin about these quads. Any Idea what is wrong with it? It seams that it runs better with a full tank of gas. Thanks for any Info.

Sounds like it may be a dirty fuel filter. Check with the guys at Nyroc's ATV info website. They have a million answers and tech tips. I just changed my fuel filter and pump. Same symptoms as you. If you hit the gas hard on mine during that 1/4 mile, it would just shut off though.

Thanks for the replies.

I hope its not my fuel pump. $300 plus bucks! Ouch.

I will pull my fuel tank this weekend and see what I find.

Where is the fuel filter located?

A bugger getting to that fuel tank isn't it? I got that far I just changed everything because I didn't want to do it again-lol I then got a filter sock that fits the King so I never have to do it again. On mine, as soon as I took out the pump assembly I could tell the filter was very dirty. Some people clean them and put them back in.
