Unhappy Spitting back through carb!! Help!!!!!

My buddy has a Eiger 400 that is spitting back through the carb at idle and just above idle. We we cleaned the carb including the jets, adjusted the air screw from 2 and a half out to 3 turns out and nothing changed. Could it be the idle jet id clogged some how? It pushes the carb out of the intake hose after it spits back 4 or 5 times. Any help would be appreciated..

So which is it, a Big Bear, or an Eiger? you have 2 identical posts, one with the quad being a 400 Big Bear, now you post the same problem, but now its a zuki Eiger, so which is it, or are you pulling our leg????

I am actually having the same problem on both machines and they both have the same kind of carb sooooooooo i figured I can double my chances of getting a correct response or at least several different responses so I would know where to begin looking.. Thanks,
Tim

2 thing's come to mind ..

# 1. you didn't get the carb clean the first time the jet's could still have some crud/gunk clogging them , i would remove the carb apart again and seperate the rubber gasket's & plastic part's ; give it good cleaning and check that when you hold the jet up to light that you can see through the jet.

If you can't see through the jet you can use a small strain of wire or sewing needle to clean the jet's !

# 2 It could be that the valve's need adjustment the exhaust valve when it out of spec's and when it isn't in the closed possition it will blow back through the carb , i hope this give's you a starting point ; good luck getting them going !

I truly believe it is a valve problem, I am gonna give it a try and see. the Eiger has about 700 miles and the yamaha has about 200.

Default Turned out to be the fuel petcock!!

Who would have thought.. It was running wide open causing it to flood at idle..
