DG Steel Nerf Bars - DennisKirk.com

@87zuki
They may not bolt up directly as dk says the ones I ordered (link to them above) only fit 85-86 lt230s quadsport. The ones bruin has/had are identical to the ones I ordered and now have on my 85 lt230s. Try going to bikebandit.com and pulling up the frame parts diagram for the 85 230s and the 87 230e and do a stare and compare to see what may be different when it comes to mounting the bars. Good luck and I hope you find a set to work/modify!

actually the frames are the same where the footpegs bolt on. only the nose and rear section of frame were lenghtened. so the engine section of the frame is identacle through 85-88. only if you have a 230E frame would i be worried about fitment issues.

they bolt on with 2 U clamps in the front and through the bottom footpeg bolt. also known as the bolt motor mount bolt, thats the bolt that always fails if you're ramping and you feet fall off the peg and land in the netting then the bolt bends.

If you had some time and a welder you could make your own for about $30. I was going to do a spider web pattern on the foot platform, But it would have taken a little more time then I had at that time. They work great for track riding just add a tether switch and she's track legal.

I didnt use any pipe bender. All the stuff is from home depot. Already
