Default LT50 tires

Hello all. I just purchased a 1999 LT50 for my son and have a quick question. The manual states that originally the tires were tubeless. I guess the owner changed them out and put in tubes because all the tires now have tubes. The tires are originals. I wanted to know if there was a problem with just adding tubes? I am going to have to at least change one tube as it is not holding air. Would I be better off trying to get the tires to seal without the tube? What are the pros or cons - if any? Thanks for your time and knowledge.

a few years ago when I had a mini, i had tubes in one or two of the tires, and it was fine. it didnt seem to affect handling at all.
