Default 2003 Eiger 4x4 no spark

I got this from a friend---had no spark when I got it. Bought a tech manual and started the diagnosis. Ignition coil tested open; replaced it; still no spark. While I'm reading further in the tech book I thought I'd pick a few expert brains here for ideas. Maybe computer?

Love to get this up and running before the deer do!

Thanks, everyone--all help appreciated!

Tom

Pull the flywheel, sometimes the magnets fall off.

Default Suzuki Eiger 400 no spark

Hi all...

Pulled the stator cover and found magnets had come loose from the flywheel rotor. Reading posts on other sites this apparently is a problem that Suzuki became aware of and changed the way in which the magnets were bound to the rotor, yet never issued a recall. Sounds like Toyota to me LOL!!!

Anyway, located a new rotor and should have it soon. Had to buy the rotor puller at $95, but what's a guy to do??

Anybody out there had discussion with Suzuki about this and did they provide a response? Bet they're not offering free replacements!!

Thanks to those that replied!!

Tom
