I have a bike that the cdi been messin up for about a year. Mine will shut down while riding and not start back up, so I tap the cdi with a screwdriver handle and it'll fire back up. May want to try that high technological troubleshooting method to see if it starts back up. On my bikes ( I'm talking Hondas ) they are little black plastic boxes with a wire harness or two plugged into it and it's strapped to the frame in the under seat area. If it is the cdi there's always e-bay, I've bought tons of used parts and so far have not been screwed.
