How much suspension travel is on the 230? is it as fast as a 250x or 300ex?

 

I had a 87 quadsport 230, they don't have much suspension, and what they have isn't progresive.
I put Works front shocks on mine and it made a world of diference, but it still didn't have enough power. A 250x or 300ex will walk away from a quadsport. Last summer I made the jump to a 92 quadracer LT250R, now this is a machine.

 

Finally somebody that agrees with me that a quadsport couldn't take an EX or a X. Anyways the suspension isn't all that bad. Probably around 7 inches front and rear.

 

The quadsport has 6.3" in front and 7.9" in back. I used to have an '86 Sport back in the late '80s and thought it was a pretty nice machine. The power was pretty good at low end and the best part was the machines light weight, 309lbs dry.
