ltz 400 gearing question

Default ltz 400 gearing question

how much difference does a 13t front sproket make on a ltz 400..i do alot of trail riding and i want a good idel gear for the woods...i also found a 12t sproket on ebay.but would that be too low..???

I have a 13 on mine and it works great for trail riding.

did you have to take a link out of the chain to get the full adjustment...??

that can depend on how worn the chain is , some thing that can be done to get more adjustment is make the slots longer on the swingarm

no need to mess with the chain or slot the adjt. should be plenty of room.put the new sproket on and go riding.

i got the sproket on but im still having a little trouble with the chain staying adjusted...everything is tight..is this normal for a little while..to check and reset the chain a few times...???

i gotta set of woolytboggers that are like brand new.but there 22 11 9's how much more would that gear it back up..???? it has 20 10 9's on it now..

some times the chain is just to worn out

replace your chain. I am running 22/11/9 maxxis razers on mine with a 13 tooth sproket. all went together just fine. get a new chain.
