03 z400 shock upgrade

I just picked up an 03 z400 and want to upgrade the front shocks. Without sending the oems out for a rebuild what is the next best upgrade,other models fitting the 03 that are adjustable. I weigh about 240 and ride mostly trails - open and technical. Thanks.

With your weight I would get some LTR 450 shocks. The LTZ 400 shocks ('05 and up) will fit and be an upgrade but the LTR are a little more stout from what I understand.

Thanks guys.From what I read there was alot more involvement in mounting the ltr shocks so I went with trx 450r shocks. Should bolt right up and work well on the z from all I read.
