Changing stock piston rings?
#1
I'm rebuilding my first adult quad and need some help with the piston rings for it. The size of the piston hole is 66mm. I did Hone the hole. Would I just get the rings that are 66mm like the ones in the link? Thanks

everyone does it their own way. if the piston is in great shape i wouldn't. if you re trying to keep cost down i'd just get the rings.

I've never been a rings only guy.
If the piston has a dull finish, it's wore.
Only real way to make a decision on the piston is to measure the piston to wall clearance. Above .006/.007 and it's time for a new piston.
I just don't want you to get it together and have a problem.
