Hey guys, new member here. Just got me an 85. I have an old yoshi muffler off a motorcycle that I am wanting to put on it. The muffler is similar to the one in this link, my end cap looks a lil smaller tho, length is about same as stock. It has a straight perforated baffle with packing. Do yall think I would be able to rejet enuff to use this or maybe modify the baffle for a little restriction? Thanks

Would anybody happen to know if an LTZ250 quadsport head is the same as an 89-90 LT250s quadsport head?

Anyone else have any input on it, yall think I would lose too much low end?

 

You wouldn't have much to lose by giving it a try, but since you are talking about a 25 year old bike/design, I'm guessing it's to give it a better/different sound or to just save money from buying a new one as opposed to hot-rodding the bike. That being said, I think you may very well lose low end on an engine that doesn't have a ton of grunt to begin with.

I think you should give it a try but be ready to accept a failure

i finally got around to doing this, heres a vid



will need rejetted a little bit, anyone have recommendation? it screams pretty good wide open, but has a slight bog at times. while putting around in 3rd and i punch it is the most noteable spot where it bogs
