ok so i took my tank apart and my petcock is trach,filters crumbled,probelm is i have a 100mile ride this weekend and called about every dealer i can find online and local and noone can get one here within 7 days...........can i bypass it in the meantime? just slap a gasket on it and go,i know its a vacuum petcock so idk if it will work if i just toss the bare petcock on with a gasket,help please,or ima sit home all weekend and hear about how fun the ride was................thanks in advance........or if anyone knows another petcock that will fit thanks!!!!

 

Quite a few petcocks fit a LT80 (blaster,banshee,lt250r,etc.) so I'd think another would fit your Z.
If you can get it to seal, I'd run it. You might have to block off the vacumm part of it and run the petcock on prime.
