Default What Year and Model?

I am looking at and older 2 wheel drive Suzuki for my grandson. The fellow that owns it does not know what size it is and there are no markings on it to state what size it might be. Where do I find the VIN number and does it indicate what model and year it is or do I have to phone it a dealer with the number to find out. It looks like the size of possibly a 100cc. Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
I don't think they made a 100.
I'd call a dealer with the VIN.

You look up the VIN# on several different websites to find the model and year. As for size, just look on the engine cylinder, it will say what the CC is.

Thanks guys. It took a while to find the serial number but it was on the left side of the crankcase covered in mud and oil. I will take it into a dealer and find out what it is.

The VIN should be on the frame, not motor.

On my 86 LT230, it is on the lower left hand side (clutch lever side), on the very bottom of the frame. Forward of the engine, and rearward of the steering shaft. Its stamped on a placard that is welded to the frame.

On my 2003 LT160, it is a sticker on the steering shaft.

On the front left down tube or on the cross piece that connects the frame under the front fenders.

I take back what I said about my LT160. All three of my Suzuki quads are in the same place I mentioned of my 86 LT230. MY LT230, LT250, and LT160 are all just in front of the engine on the lower frame horizontal frame tube.

Have you looked at the cc stamping on the cylinder head yet? Is it a 2-stroke or four stroke? If its a small 2-stroke, then its probably an lt80, and if its a 4-stroke, its probably an lt125.

Can you post a picture of it?
