ltz 400 will these two years match?

ltz 400 will these two years match?
i have a suzuki 2003 ltz400 and my chain snapped and put a huge hole in the case. i was wondering if the side the shifter is located on would be considered the left side case or right and if a 2004 or 2005 ltz 400 case would watch up to my 03? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!!!
