I have a 86 Quadracer and I have been advised to rebuild the shock. If I just refill the nitro and it blows, can I rebuild it or will I need a new shock? Please help!!!!!

If it "blows" after adding the gas, yes you can rebuild it. Generally the rebuild includes seals, oil, and nitrogen gas. The shock is junk if you ride it a bunch when the seal goes bad and all the oil leaks out and the chrome shaft gets damaged. The local dealer around here charges about 100.00. I'm not positive but WORKS can do it as well and they can set it up specifically to your weight and rideing preferences?.

WELL YOU SHOULD REBUILD IT NOW, IF YOU JUST CHARGE THE NITRO YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING FOR THE DAMPING OR THE SEALS AND OIL. LOCAL SHOPS CAN DO IT FOR ABOUT 100-120 BUT THE WORKS HEART TRANSPLANT FOR 180 IS WELL WORTH IT BECAUSE YOU CAN HAVE IT SET FOR YOUR WIEGHT AND RIDING STYLE. IF YOU RUIN YOUR SHAFT OR HOUSING YOU ARE LOOKING AT 400-600 FOR A REPLACEMENT.
