so i just got a '85 LT250R quad; all the basics are there except there is no motor. Im new to the quad scene and am finding it difficult to find a used engine for it. I was told that a motor out of a RM250 dirt bike would work but just read that its not counterbalanced like the quad motor so i would have to reinforce the frame more but it would still vibrate. Im just looking for some advice on what other engine will fit in this frame. Is there anything out of a different bike/quad that would work?

Where are you located? I have an engine I removed froim my 86 Lt 250r. It blew the top end. I bought a good cyl. that needs a bore and piston. I never rebuilt it. I put in a GSXR 750 street bike engine in it instead.
