You likely need to double check your connections and wires and make sure they are tight and clean, Look also at the ground for the starter, no rust. ect.
If you jump the solenoid with a screw driver on the two posts, what happens ?
Also if you jump right to the starter with jumper cables to a car or truck. what happens ?
You might try these things to more determine where the problem is at.
If the battery is good and the starter is good and the connections at the battery and starter and ground are all good. and if the starter jumped directly works.
It could be a contact issue by the relay switch, or starter push button on the handlebars or somewhere in between.
When in neutral and the ign key turned all the way over, does the neutral light come on ?
While I do not have this newer of a model. I have experience this issue before.
