hey guys i need some help so if anyone can give me any info .. I'm in the Process of buying a 83 Lt125 For $200 Mint no scraches on it and only 800 miles on it .. i looks damn near new yet , ok heres the Prob guy was driving it around in the Woods and it died, that was it he brought it home thinking it was Fuel issue had carb rebuilt and still nothing ... if u take the plug out and pull start it too see if it has spark u have to pull Fast and hard just for their to be any spark and if u pull lightly or medium pull no spark ... but if u put the plug back in and try to start it fast you cant cause theirs alot of compression ... so i guess im kinda at a stand still i want to buy it but dont have lots of money to throw into it being an Old Quad n all ... i was told it could be the stator or could be a coil .. then ppl Told me oh it cant be a stator if the guy was out riding it before it went .. n said if it was drivin hard n hot coils like to go ? kinda confused ... Cause motor needs 3 things to run Gas+spark+Combustion= Running i have gas and Compression but seems to be a weak spark

 

So 42 ppl Looked at the post .. with no Reply's so im guessing their is NO one out their that has a lil Skill in the atv area ?

 

Seems a little belated but i got your reply my man..... I have a 1983 LT 125 that had the same spark issue. First thing i had to do was Get the info on resistance readings for the Magneto and pick up housed in the stator cover, as well as the values for the coil. CHECK CHECK CHECK is my best advice. Test your coil, stator and CHECK all connestions and wires WELL.
