Default Quad Runner 500 4x4

Hi guys. I think my quad is a 2002 model. I am having a problem that I am unable to sort out. The bike went well one day and the next when I wanted to start her up the battery was flat. When jump starting it it started easy enough but then when I removed the jump cable the bike cuts out. This continues to happen. As long as I have the jump cables connected it runs perfectly. Remove the jumper and she dies.

Please help!!!

Thanks.

Sounds like your battery is bad.

Thanks Knust for your response. Should the motot not keep running if the magnito is charging and giving current? Surely the motor will run even if you removed the battery?

if it is not charging it will not stay running. also if it has alot of electronics it may not stay running at idle. but i dont know if it is charging or not yet. that will tell you more where your problem is/

Unfortunately I am not with the quad. I am back in civilisation and will only be back in the bush in about a week. When I am in the bush I do not have internet access.

That is why I am trying to figure out what the problem is. I have decided to purchase a new battery and take it from there.

Thanks again for all your help.

Rob
