Default LT230 Questions

Hi everyone I'm new here. Ive been a motorcycle enthusiast all my life im 28.
Anyways i'm picking up a 87 lt230 with brand new motor and extended swing arm.

My questions are what other model parts will fit this bike? IE fenders seats wheels etc? I havent seen the bike yet so I may be in for a surprise but a kid owes me money and this is what hes giving me. Ive been researching a lot about these bike but not finding a whole lot. I want to modernize it a little if possible like newer fenders etc. I like my things to look real nice and clean and try my hardest to do so.

Any help would be great

Thank You

Not much off other models is going to fit this machine. There was an auto clutch version and later a 250cc version, but neither had much in the way of differences.

Thank you for the reply.

Is there much in the ways to mod these bikes?

I don't know of any other fenders that will fit, but you can still buy replacement fenders for it.

You can buy the following upgrades that are designed specifically for it:
- big bore kit that will bump it up to 260cc.
- an aftermarket exhaust
- better air filters
- Larger carb
- upgraded cams
- aftermarket shocks
- handlebar

Some parts from other bikes will fit as well, with a little modding
- LT250s engine
- LT250s control arms
- LT250s swing arm
- Warrior / Raptor 350 rear shock

Thank you for your response.

From my understanding it has an upgraded shock and swing arm and a new engine.

It need fenders and tires.

Will the modern tires like the itp holeshots work on the stock wheels?

Sorry for all the question that probably seem dumb but Im the type of guy that likes my stuff to look brand new so i want to make this bike really nice if possible

The wheels are a standard size wheel.

You can go to rockymountainatv.com, put in the specific model and it will give you wheels and tires that will fit.

Maier makes great replacement fenders and if you leave off the front mud flaps and get the Maier grill (it has 4 holes in it) and some lower MX bars, they look much more modern.
