Default Mudflaps/air scoops on LT250S?

Hey Guys,

I started the teardown of the LT250S and looking at the mudflaps I guess they have dual duty in acting as air scoops for the engine.

How critical are these in the cooling of the engine. I was thinking of doing away with them, but if they are needed I suppose I could keep them on the machine.

Well they are more than just mudflaps. They form up along the frame to shape the Air scoops...kinda like a one in all, but you're probably right.

The way they have them mounted on the front fenders is really weird involving small plates of metal that really I can't see what they add.

You don't need em. It doesn't get that hot.
