I have a problem with my King Quad 300 4x4, when the bike get hot the muffler gets all red really really red. I don't think its nurmal... Does anybody out there knows whats wrong with my bike or if its just nurmal.

Are we talking engine pipe or muffler?

 

Sorry I'm Talking about the engine Pipe.

 

It sounds like your king ir running lean for some reason. Id get a mechanic to look at it asap.

 

Or rich and fuel is burning on out the port!

The pipes can also sometimes get hot and glow if you are stationary and revving it up.

 

jessica, do you own a DS650 that does not get a hot pipe? You know what I mean. Red hot... Not to offend.

Yes I do have a DS650. BUT MY PIPE IS NURMAL...I have been driving bikes sinces I'm 5 years hold and I never had a bike doing this. I sent my bike to the dealer and the send it back saying that it was nurmal, Still I don't think so... the pipe gets so read its unbelievable.

Then I hope your pipe is NORMAL too. My pipe gets RED hot also when it has the choke on and RPMs are high. I usually allow a few minutes to warm up before riding. Especially during cold winter months. You're OK...
