Default Hi all!

Hey guys, im new. Im looking at buying a 2005 LTZ 400. Had a couple questions. The bike im looking at, doesnt have headlights. I'm told "its a racing style so it doesn't have any." If this is the case, can they be added? Also, would anybody happen to have a digital version of the manual i could get?

Thanks Guys,

Happy Riding!

Welcome to the forums.

It came with a headlight in the nose. They may have taken it out, but the wiring might still be there if you get a oem replacement.

Default LTZ 400 Headlight

Ok, so if the wiring is still there and OEM can be installed? Great. What if the wiring is not there?

Here is the bike btw.

I don't know why they'd cut the wiring out.

Just looked at the cost of a new hood.

I'd see if the wiring was there, then consider some type of aftermarket lights.

There's a whole lot of choices out there. Thing to keep an eye on is the wattage of the lights. You could go with a cheap set from Walmart to a very expensive set of PIAA lights.

Thank you!

One more question. For future reference. If I wanted to get an exhaust say this one: FMF Power Core IV S/A Silencer | ATV | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Does this: "The canister style silencer provides uninterrupted exhaust flow and comes with a forestry approved spark arrester." mean that it can be legally used in the forest i assume?

Yes, you will want to have the spark arrestor on the pipe. Some public riding areas will require it. Not a bad idea if you're just on private land too. Check your area for noise restrictions too. Some pipes may be too loud and depending on the laws where you're riding, it could be a ticket or you could get the quad impounded.
