Suzuki 230

Even on that site, its listing the LTF 230 AND LT-F 230 as shaft driven. Its entirely possibly we've been looking at this wrong. How do we know that the machine isn't an LT230S with a GOKI electric start kit that was added on from a previous owner? Both websites listed are showing that ONLY the LT230S as chain driven.
OP, is the electric start button added on to the handlebars? By that I mean, is the start button NOT integral with the rest of the buttons and switches on the handlebars? I'm fairly certain that the kit had the battery mount location under the front fender, tight to the frame, above the A-Arms. The flywheel cover was also replaced in the kit.
If not, I'm quite frankly, out of ideas, other than just running the VIN # in:

I cant even get mine to start. my lights work and starter spins when hooked up to the battery. I don't seem to have spark. I am going to try another starter coil. Also trying to by pass the neutral safety switch by wiring the two blue (and tracer) wires together. Is there anything else I have to do? The pull start doesn't get it started either. When it is wired up (to what I think is right) I cant get anything when I hit the electric start. Any ideas, I would like to ride before the snow flies.
