I found a 87 quadracer for 2000, do you think it is worth it. Are 2-strokes hard to maintain and do they have to be rebuilt every year?

$2000 sounds a little bit high. My brother bought a cherry '92 Quadracer back in '95 for $2500. If the '87 is in perfect shape then yeah, I'd buy it but it would have to look almost showroom. Otherwise I'd wheel and deal and get it down to $1500. I also own a Mojave and I've ridden my bro's Quadracer quite a bit and it is a totally different machine. I love his Quadracer but for trail riding and exploring I like my Mojave better. It mostly depends on where you live. In my area we have lots of tight trails and rocks so there is a lot of slow going and reverse gear use. But if I lived in the desert than the Quadracer would be my first choice no question.
