Default 2006 Eiger Backfiring

I recently had to purchase a new Air Cleaner box for my Eiger...Trailer came off hauling hay and ran under and broke the box. Had to buy entire assembly..so I put the new Air Cleaner on and now the bike runs rough and backfires. I have cleaned the air cleaner thinking it had too much oil on it. I ran this bike for about a month with hole in air box. Could I have got dirt into motor or maybe I need to re-jet the carb? please any help Its archery season and back fire scares the deer and elk away......thanks

Flush the float bowl to make sure it does not contain any debris. Better yet disassemble and clean the carb and install an inline fuel filter

Service Manual Table of Contents

Lots of Eiger owners have re-jetted since the factory jetting is own the lean side.

Lots of older threads on this issue.

If you upgraded ur airbox you will need to rejet. Or turn the air fuel screw in or out till it stops popping. Sounds like you too lean
