Default poping,thumping sound on z400?

hello every one, im on my 7th tank of gas with my new z400, after about half way threw the 5th tank I noticed a new sound. when rideing normal, just cruising I can hear a sort of a soft knocking sound, when riding, it sounds like it is just under the gas tank cap but when I lean over its more pronounced on the right hand side near the bottomISH of the motor but hard to realy pin point, sounds sort of like when you make a motor boat sound with your lips lol. yea I know that sounds weird but its the closest thing I can relate the sound to. it changes depending on rpm, not the chain I know that for sure. its worse at about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and its really noticible after the motor gets real warm/hot. iv changed the oil and filter.

This is my first ATV so I don't know what there supposed to sound like. I know the first 5 tanks of gas it was real clacky sounding but that's quited down a bit. is this motor boaty sound normal? also its not the exhaust. any replies would be very appreciated. its a long long drive to the dealer and I have to have a friend drive me "no truck or trailer" and id hate to wast a trip for nothing. thanks in advance

How many km? on my new 500 i get about 300+km to a tank so even if you have a small tank and only getting 1-200km per tank your over due for valve adjustment. did not listen to vid no speakers on this computer. mine is going in around the 500km mark to get adjusted. If not sooner since im having break issues

I'd be running that back to the dealer pronto (I'm presuming it's brand new).

I see you did your first service after 5 tanks of fuel. Did you not read your owners manual? or the dealer not explane services to you? In my cat manual the first oil change gets done at 10 hours or 100k. then 500k oil changes after that. Im assuming your Suzuki would be the same. even with the small tank that machine has you are way over on the first service. Hopfully you kept your receipts if you did the oil change yourself for warranty.

manual says change oil after 1 month, dealer told me after 5 tanks of gas. took it to the dealer and he said it sounded ok, I asked if I needed to have valves adjusted and he said no it sounded ok to him. he rides 450's and all so I figured he knew his stuff. im going to make another vid as it sound def now, seems to have quited down.

also he said tht if I was raceing or running hard all the time like in a race id need to service more often includeing valves but as im just messing around in my yard and trail rideing it would be better to wait on checking valves to give them more time as adusting to soon could leed to them not needing it and then getting out of wack "my term lol" after adjustment.
