I’m checking out a 1987 LT 500 that has a blown top end. I was wondering what is the stock dimension of the cylinder wall? What is the ware limit on the cylinder? I was told .060 over and .080 over was the maximum bore limit. What do you guys think?

 

Suzuki makes pistons up to 0.40, which is their service limit specified in the manual. Wiseco, however makes pistons up to 1.40 over!! So you can bore these things seven times before they'll need re-sleeved...
