Default LT80 clutch cover stuck on.

hey guys, Im new to the lt80. I bought it for my 7yr old daughter this week. It was in pretty sad shape so im tearing it apart to put on new oil and gas lines and check all the brakes and clutch. I was trying to get the clutch cover off last night and its stuck on. (yes I took out all the bolts) lol. Is there a bearing on the cover side that the clutch shaft goes into? I Think that is whats getting stuck..... any help on this would be awesome! its a 1990 and I don't think anyone has worked on it since then....

Welcome to the forums.
Providing that you did remove the bolt at the 3 0'clock position on the little cover, it's stuck on the dowels.
The dowels are on the top front and bottom rear.
There are lil cast tabs that you can push (hit hard) on..lol

yeah I got home and beat it to death and the pins released. I thought for sure I was going to break the case but it took it. SO lt80, I need a lot more parts for this clutch, I called the number in your signature and got an answering machine. I have a few questions about some tings on this rig and you seem like your very educated on this bike. Anyway I left my number for you to call back, I would just like to talk on the phone, seems like you can get stuff figured out a lot faster that way. Thanks, Ben.

You are right about lt80 being the guy for the lt80. Getting him on the phone would be faster than posting two million questions. Godd luck to you and welcome to the site!

Don't listen to Jack! He will end up turning you nice little enjoyable LT80 into something that makes your daughter's heart rate rise to unhealthy levels, and she will nearly crap her pants when she rides it. All of her friends will start treating her with disdain because of jealousy. In fact, she may start to lose some friends. She will somehow have tears in her eyes and a big smile on her face each time she rides it. And when you throw a leg over it, the same thing will happen!
