special tools!?!?
#1
I have a front differential seal that leaked. I looked at the service manual and am considering taking it apart. Everything seems doable until I see that I need special tools. Is this Suzuki's way of making me spend $400 on some tool that isn't needed? I don't want to have the front wheels off, only to realize that I need them to do the job.
its a 98 LTF500F
The tools that are apparently needed to remove the drive shafts from front differential gear case.
specifically, "a wheel hub remover set, drive shaft remover and a sliding hammer"
Thanks.

Do you mean a tool to pull the old seal out? You can try the screw trick it works on a water pump seal Untitled Page (bottom of page) after that you use a socket to tap the new seal in.
