It's been 6 years since my 1988 Suzuki LT-4WD had intermittent spark. Now, it's acting up again!!! UGH!!! It starts right up, runs a few seconds, then dies. I check each time when I stalls and there is no spark. Here we go again!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking for Kenm to help me troubleshoot his again!!!! Anyone seen him?

I'm beginning to think that it's a magnet issue this time. it just seems a lot different from the time I had a bad wire connection. Anyone have any knowledge of checking the magnets and rotor???? (Why does this always happen in the winter?) LOL!!!!

Been almost a year since he posted last.

 

You can do a thread search with his name and see what you may find. Otherwise, clean all your electrical connections and apply dielectric grease to each. Could be a frayed wire (s). Check the tightness of the coil secondary wire and spark plug boot ( and apply a little dielectric grease inside the spark plug boot as well, plug side ). The only sure way to troubleshoot electrical issues are with a manual, checking resistance and voltage values. And if intermittant, can def be a challange. Good luck.
