My son's LT80 doesn't have a light on it, and we are needing to install one. Didn't know if others have installed some on before?

I know you can get a kit where the front fender comes with a light, but that's more than $100. I was hoping to get a small light bar from a store and mount it on, and if so, can I just wire direct to the battery with an on/off switch?

You can do that...I'd highly suggest looking for an LED as the stock stator puts out a ton of volts and LEDs draw next to nothing for the light they provide...

 

Pretty much has to be LED's unless you get a stator from "ricky stator".

The stator is what makes the power.
Ricky Stator makes high output stators.

I agree..My point was is that you need a LED. Other lights will drain the battery.
