How hard is it, and what is the best technique to change the rear axle bearings on a 92 quadracer 250.

Beat the old bearings out, if you have a torch you can make this a little easier by heating up the carrier. Keep the new bearings in the freezer for a day or so before you try to place them in the carrier, this is supposed to make installation easier. Then press the new bearings back in place of the old. Use new seals.

SLINGER HAS IT DOWN RIGHT, MY ONLY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO EITHER FIND A SOCKET THAT IS THE SAME SIZE AS THE OUTER BEARING OR TAKE THE BEARING TO A HARD WARE STORE AND BUY A SHORT PIECE OF PIPE THAT HAS THE SAME DIAMETER OF THE OUTER BEARING. THIS MAKES IT EASIER TO BANG IN THE NEW BEARINGS WITHOUT PLACING FORCE ON THE INNER RING OR THE BALL BEARINGS TO PREVENET DAMAGING THEM. AND YES THE FREEZER DOES HELP AND SO DOES APPLYING A THIN COAT OF WATERPROOF GREASE TO THE CARRIER BEFORE INSTALLING.
