I have a Suzuki ltf250 that does not idle good at all just rebuilt it maybe 3 hours ago or so but it’s all put together. It’s hard starting but I believe it’s because I put 10w40 oil in instead of the 5w30 that I normally put in in the winter. When I do get it started it idles with the choke but stalls when off. If I ride it though it rides like it’s 100% normal if the throttle is on. I checked the throttle cable and adjusted it in but it’s still not a normal idle it still a very rough idle. Also I forgot to mention that it ticks a little and it’s running hot like 245F. Any ideas on what could be going on I’m stumped? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

Did you clean the carb?
