Hey guys, new to the forum, first time posting. Here's what I got. 85 230 suzuki with no spark. Good plug, new coil and boot, stator ohms out and puts out good voltage, mpu coil good and putting out. Grounds check out all the way to the battery, ground through ignition switch works as it should, and kill switch not grounded (makes no connection to ground in run or stop, so its useless. Oh well). So that leaves the cdi. I dont have access to a known good cdi to swap with, so I'm looking around. Ebay has them, but they are all used and not guaranteed, and more money than can be spent on it. I'll go that route if I absolutely have too, though. Question is, is there a suitable replacement for it that won't break the bank? Anybody swap in a chinese one, or different model suzuki, or different brand? Looking for options. I know its AC powered, but I'm concerned about the capacitor ratings, and whether something else is compatible with the new coil. Sorry for the long post. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Comes off a Quadrunner 250.

 

Is there pigtails on it? The quadrunner 250 cdi's i looked at all have a 6 pin connector. I'm gonna need the pigtail that goes in it as mine has a different setup.
