Steel wheel rim rust

Default Steel wheel rim rust

I own a 2000 Suzuki King Quad 300 with a bent rear wheel. I purchased a used replacement and it has a ring of rust pitting around the inside of the rim ( both sides). I was wanting to ask anyone with experience with this type of thing if the pitting will be an issue in regards to air pressure loss . I know there are sealants out there but wanted to keep from having to use them. The pitting is not as deep as the picture seems to represent and I am going to have this wheel and the other's powder coated before putting new Carlisle 489's on them. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
