I just finished removing the locking pin from the shift housing. Now I can lock the front diff. without having to be in super low range. I would like to thank Eric and Rob for the info on their website. (http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/kingquad/)
I followed your directions and the whole project took less than an hour. I tested it out and it works great. Thanks again fellas.

Your quite welcome! Actually Eric got me going on the mod, I just added pics of my quad during the process and some short cuts to save some reassembly time. The brake light change is another nice one.

I invite anyone else with mods and pictures to contact me and I'll gladly post them with the correct acknowledgements. I was hoping to hear from the fellow who made a multi mount(front/back) winch system for his KQ.

Sorry I didn't acknowledge you before Rob. I did't know you and Eric were working together until I talked to Mike R. The diff. lock mod is a really great asset. I'm sure, that after Eric and I come back from this soon to be trip, we'll have lots of info for all to talk about. The King Quads will be in the mix of others that may or may not have the agility of these sweet little QQ's! :0)
But thanks for your input as well.

ecman,
No Problem, I really didn't mean it that way. I just like to give credit to all the KQ riders who make contributions. If there is a question I'll stick and email on the page so the new reader can get more info if needed. I mainly did the web work which is not that big of a deal as most of you know. I only hoped to save Eric the expense of burning cd's and mailing them to folks. Not to mention the time to do that. Pretty nice of him I thought.

Good Luck,
Rob

Everybody here is a lot of fun and help. Even the cat gets mad when I'm on here. You guys have a lot of info for someone that just likes to ride. Sometimes it's difficult to stop reading. I must be getting old... No! I don't do the cat...
