i bought my son a new suzuki 80. the guy at shop said there were 3 restricters on the 80. he said he took one out of the carb and left the throttle restricted to 1/4 throttle. also left one in the pipe or exhaust. said it had to be there for ten hrs brake in. 10 hrs up. how do i take restricter out of exhaust.also is there any adjustment's to the carb or any thing after i take out the restricter in the exchaust. thanks in advance, John

It kind of depends on how old the rider is, because these things will rip without the exaust restrictor in. We got our son one about 2 months ago and the way it came was way to slow, so I yanked out the exaust restrictor and it was way to fast. You can remove the exaust restrictor by loosening the pipe, 2 nuts on head and 2 pipe mount bolts. You don't have to completely remove the pipe, just slide it back from the head. The restrictor is between the cylinder and pipe it is the washer with a small hole in it, just take it out reinstall gasket and pipe and hang on. If this is too fast don't turn the throttle screw in any more because it will make it accelerate slow. I just filed the hole in the middle of the restrictor out until it ran the speed I wanted it to. I went about a 1/16" at a time.
